Located on the bank of the Nanshi River in Wulai District, Yun-Hsien Holiday Resort is a magnificent tourist attraction that one can fully enjoy the beauty of nature. Well-equipped with hotel, youth activity centers, Dreamland Park, Yunxian Lake, Yuqing Lake, forest bathing area, and Stream Recreation Area, and four restaurants, Yun-Hsien Holiday Resort is a resort that meets all kinds of tourists’ needs. Tourists can even enjoy the panoramic picturesque Wulai view from 500-meter height by taking gondola.



Wulai is located 27km east south of Taipei City, the only mountainous area in Taipei County area. Green trees and clear streams filled this area surrounded by mountain range. The scenery at the source of famous Wulai waterfall is even more spectacular with ancient woods soaring up the skies, cloud and mist covering the forests, colorful butterflies, the chattering of cicadas and the chirping of birds, all made this place a retreat away from the turmoil of the world. However, this view is blocked away from the tourist due to the natural landscapes of steep crags and cliffs belonging to the Nanshih River. In the light of this, we start drafting plans to build a cable car so as to let this natural wild view be seen and enjoyed completely by the public from the air. As the natural view changes with season, all different and beautiful in its own unique ways, this area seems like a paradise therefore we named it “Yun Hsien Holiday Resort” meaning “a land of celestials and clouds.”

The Yun Hsien Resort is abloom with cherry blossoms during January to April each year, while birds such as the Grey-chinned Minivet and Varied Tit are busy welcoming the arrival of spring. The fresh atmosphere permeates with flourishing vitality.

Cherry blossoms bloom during the warm “spring season”; they have a budding time of approximately two weeks. The earliest cherry blossom to flower in Wulai is the Taiwan cherry, a protogenic species in Taiwan. The petal of the Taiwan cherry is red in color and hence it is also known as Prunus campanulata Maxim. Towards the end of its budding time, it is time for the tender Yoshino cherry to bloom, hence the most ideal time to view vibrant cherry blossoms is during Chinese New Year.

○ By Bus: 
Take Xindian Bus (Taipei-Wulai route bus no. 849) from Taipei Main Station at Chingdao W. Road or MRT Xindian Station to Wulai Bus Terminus. From there, it's only a 3-5mins walk to the destination.

Zhongshan S. Rd. (opposite the Department of Education)→ Roosevelt Rd. → Gongguan → Jingmeià → Sindian→Beiyi Rd. (Qingtan)→Xinwu Rd. → (transfer to mini train or walk) → Yun Hsien Resort

○ By MRT: 
Take Taipei MRT-Xindian Line to MRT Xindian Station and take Xindian Bus (Taipei-Wulai route bus no. 849) to Wulai Bus Terminus. The travel time from MRT Xindian Station to Wulai is about a 40mins ride.

Sindian MRT Station → transfer to Sindian Bus and head to Wulai → Wulai Station (transfer to mini train or walk) → Yun Hsien Resort
